Juneathon Eve

Juneathon Eve

So, as I embark on this, my first Juneathon, I wish to be brave and announce that I weigh 12st 10lbs.
I dug out my pedometer and set it up this morning, i have taken 8163 steps today - rather pleased with that :)

Not sure if i will do this every day or if anyone will read it anyway.  But i will register my weight weekly and my step count daily and keep this blog updated as often as i can.  

If you are reading this - i hope you find it encouraging - i will fail some days and do really well other days - that's fine, i am human (i think!). 

I'm not going to be running marathons or cycling miles, I'm not going to jog at 6am every day or treat this as a race.  I am simply a Christian separated Mother of 2, currently un-employed, with a boyfriend, living a very complicated life near Gatwick Airport.

My aim is to loose some weight (maybe 7lbs?) by eating less and moving more - using this Juneathon-thing as motivation to do just that.

Have re joined WW today and got my start weight, will see how i do alone this week and then - LET THE JUNEATHON BEGIN !!!!  LOL

Menu for the next week is planned, shopping list prepped and to be delivered tomorrow.  Have done one good walk this week and plan to do at least another 2.  

Gotta get my pedometer out and I'm ready to rock and roll.

Looking forward to this - lets see how many steps i can get up to and how much weight i can loose - its only 1 month - how hard can it be ????

pre Juneathon 2012

Pre-Juneathon 2012


I have decided to join the Juneathon 2012 - its meant for people who jog or run but it does say as long as you do some exercise every day and blog it, it counts.  I need to get back to walking - i used to do 10,000 steps a day and it has lapsed somewhat over the last year.

My reasons are - To get fit, get out and get air in my lungs.  To exercise the dog.  To get out of depression.

I will wear a pedometer each day and blog how many steps, even if i have sat at home and done nothing - this is also a way of being accountable.

There is a couple of weeks until June but maybe i will start early now i am also out of a job!!!!

Anyway, here is to a positive and fit June :)
